Weekly Report 9/28 - StarForge Video

What I learned: All kinds of terms and media formats. Like .com and http. wait...

What I want to learn: Anything with Premiere or After Affects.

What made me happy: The 1000 Photoshop project. HEHEHEheuhehuhheh.

What made me mad: The amount of work I'm getting in everything. Both school and personal projects.

Awesomeness:
A video I made that advertises the upcoming video game StarForge. Using in recorded in game footage and a original song created just for this video by TheHeartGrinder.

6 Filmmaking Tips From Christopher Nolan Response

3 things that I learned from this article:
-Film festivals can be a great place to collaborate with other people in the film industry.
-Its good to wear the shoes of the characters in your story to help understand how they should act.
-Real effects and locations draw the audience in more.

2 opinions:
-Actually cutting film together is very interesting.
-Nolan looks pretty snazzy in a sweater

1 question - Whats a super 8 camera?

Finding Nemo 3-D Response

3 things I learned from this article:
-Finding Nemo was the best selling DVD of all time.
-There are 40 3-D releases this year.
-That 3-D is dying (yay).

2 opinions:
-A movie completely about dancing will probably not be good. Unless its really famous people dancing badly. Like Christopher Walken crumping.
-Miami NewTimes has a few too many pictures of topless women.

1 question - Seriously why are there so many pop up ads on this site about topless celebrities?

3D Printers Article Response

3 things I learned from this article:
-That 3D printers were being used for engineering and manufacturing purposes the last 25 years.
-80,000 3D printers were sold in the US since 2007
-The printing process can take hours for something as small as a soda can.

2 opinions:
-I think that selling a 3D printer for $350 is insanely cheap for what it can do.
-Using 3D printers for medical purposes could make the next big breakthrough in medical science.

1 question - Could these printers eventually print usable CDs with info already stored on them?
