Weekly Report - 11/11

What I learned: That Will has the most terrible luck.

What I want to learn: More about lighting.

What made me happy: Preforming my second concert with my friend.

What made me sad: A great teacher at my school died this past week.

Voice Actors Response

3 things I learned from this article:
- Frank Welker voiced more than 700 films and t.v shows.
- No one really cared about voice actors in the past.
- Studios don't have to hire big named actors to do voice work.

2 opinions:
- There's probably more to voice acting than just sitting down and saying lines.
- I think voice acting is more sought after rather than more respected.

1 question - Why do studios hire more big named actors than more talented voice actors?

Disney Purchase of Lucas Films Response

3 things I learned from this article:
- ILM's first film was Rango.
- LucasArts hasn't made a game since The Force Unleashed 2.
- George Lucas is rolling in the most dough as an artist.

2 opinions:
- Its good that Lucas isn't spending all his money on rich people stuff.
- LucasArts should make more games.

Weekly Report 11/4 - A Lot of Work I'm Not Doing

What I learned: That this one guy thought he was just going on a fishing trip. But little did he know it was going to be a trip of epic proportions.

What I want to learn: How to get a job for editing. Cause I want money.

What made me happy: Finishing a job off my list: did a solo for my friend's song.

What made me sad: Halloween was on a Wednesday. I got things to do on Wednesday. I mean come on.

A song I made called The End

Yea, that's all I got this week. But its a good song. I mean, its just three chords played over and over. But its EMOTIONAL. It makes you FEEL man. Feel emotions. Like hunger and sassy. But those aren't the emotions I was going for. I wanted to use the song in something but I don't have ideas yet. But it'll come to me soon/sometime/eventually/probably not.

Apple CD Drive Response

3 things I learned from this article:
- That the new Macs suck for CDs.
- That the Macs were never going to have Blu-ray capabilities.
- That burning music to CDs was widely advertised.

2 opinions:
- This is stupid.
- Burning CDs, those were the good old days.

1 question - How do they get them so slim, even without the CD drives?

Hurricane Sandy Images Response

3 things I learned from this article:
- That there were so many people uploading fake images of the hurricane.
- That there were sites that told you if an image was photoshoped
- That people can be fooled by a picture from a movie.

- I wouldn't trust a shark on the streets of Manhattan.
- That storm in Nebraska looked pretty fun.

1 question - Why couldn't people be more creative with the doctored photos? Like have cows flying in circles and whole houses being bought up in the sky? Wait, that's a tornado. Nevermind.
